CloneDVD mobile - Playstation 3 (PS3)
HINT 1: Always keep the firmware of your PS3 up to date. When you connect your PS3 with the internet it automatically checks for an available firmware update.
These updates often contain important enhancements such as better playback compability with certain blanks and video formats.
HINT 2: The PS3 also plays DivX and XViD videos. However, since these codecs allow a lot of variations, some of these movie files may not function on the PS3. It's worth a try nevertheless.
Transferring the movie files from your hard disk to your PS3
The .mp4 files created by CloneDVD mobile don't have to be trandcoded or altered further. This means you simply copy the output file(s) to a USB hard drive, a USB memory stick, a CD-R or a DVD+/-R and then plug/connect/insert this media in your PS3. Please note that PS3 drives are very selective about reading DVD-DL blanks although they may have been burned properly. Please use simple and short file names for your files. Do not use any special or exotic characters. Also be sure to define a unique, simple label name for your movie file. Put the file(s) in the root directory of your media so you don't have to search for them with the rather awkward PS3 file browser.
